In the last few chapters Zero tells Stanley about how they weren't always homeless, and how his mother would sing to him and clap his hands to the song. They also planed to try to get the treasure that Kate Barlow buried.

I connect chapters 44-47 to a music video remix that my friend has made from the song "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk! during the music video that band walks through a desert and pass all sorts of boat sunken in the deep sand. There is one boat that has not completely sunk the band flipped it over and inside they found "caveman" like rock containers that had water in it!

I think that Zero and Stanley being pushed so hard links to program I was watching. The program is called Secrets of… I found it links to that because in the program there is one part about their secret intelligence training. Their training consists of so many things that challenge you physically and especially mentally. I found it links to that because Stanley was thinking as long as Zero can keep going so can I.

In the last chapters we read Stanley and Zero climbed to the top of the mountain. They found onions and water on top of the mountain. Stanley found out that Zero stole the shoes. Zero’s condition was improving. They had eaten a lot of onions and it had only been about a week. Stanley wanted to dig one last hole.

In the last few chapters it told us about what had happened before Camp Lake Green was started. It says 100 years ago the lake was a beautiful lake with peach trees all around. Close by was a village and in the village lived a person called Katharine Barlow who was the town’s only teacher. In the small town in the day she taught children and in the evening she taught adults who hadn't been to school. In the night class there was a person by the name of Charles Walker but everyone called him Trout Walker. There was a doctor in the called Dr. Hawthorn and whenever people got sick they visited him and then they went to the onion seller who also sold medicine made from onions. No one not even the doctor knew which one cured the patient. The onion sellers name was Sam and Sam had a secret onion patch on the other side of the lake which once or twice a week he would row to his patch and there he would fill his onion cart.

In the last few chapters they give Stanley a new nickname Caveman. Stanley finds a tube and promised to give it to x-ray so he had to give it to him. Stanley finds out that the warden is a woman and he writes his mother a letter. The warden makes them dig in pairs and she keeps making Mr Pendanski to fill the boys’ canteens. Stanley also finds out that there are mini cameras all over the place. Zero wanted to learn how to read and write. Squid stole a pack of seeds and Stanley said he ate them all. So Mr Sir takes him to the warden.

I find it really close to torture in war as I'm reading a book on Bravo Two Zero. It's about the British SAS eight man patrol that go into Iraq in the Gulf War. They get captured after being tortured by the environment and then get tortured even more by the Iraq police and army. Except for two or three who were injured too critically they were sent to hospital but the writer of the book was captured and tortured with lot's of different methods and I find it very much like Holes.

Summarizer

The last few chapters where about a boy called Stanley. Who has apparently stolen a pair of sneakers. There for he has gone to court and had the choice between jail or going to a camp called Camp Green Lake. Which is a dried up lake and the only shade where two oak trees on the eastern edge of the lake. A hammock is stretched between the two trees and a log cabin stands behind that. He chose the camp and went there in an old bus. A guard sat in front of him. On his lap lay a rifle. When he got to the camp he was introduced to some boys and they shod him where he was going to sleep. After dinner he went to bed but did not have a long sleep. The next morning he got up early and had to start digging. It got hard for him to dig because he had blisters on his hands but at the end he finished. That night he had a cold shower, ate supper and went to bed.

The book holes reminds me of military camp that boys go to. I watched this one movie that took all this boys to this camp called military school, and they all had to everything that the leader says they have to do.  My friend went to this camp once and when she came back she was completely muddy all over.
